This Public Web Site Privacy Statement explains the Health New England, Inc. (“HNE”), policy about the collection and use of information on HNE public Web sites. The HNE Notice of Privacy Practices describes how HNE uses and discloses protected health information and how members can get access to this information. HNE is committed to protecting our members’ privacy at all times and in all settings.

"Public" describes sites that do not require a password to access information. "Secure" describes sites that do require a password to log in before accessing information.

This means any information that can reasonably be used to identify a person, such as a name, address, e-mail address, Social Security number, or telephone number.

Information Collected and Stored Automatically:
HNE does not automatically collect or store personally identifiable information through our public Web sites and does not write "cookies" on your computer. "Cookies" are files containing information about visitors to a Web site (e.g. user name and preferences) that enable a Web site to identify users when they revisit that Web site.

This site collects information from you only through e-mails that you voluntarily send through this site. E-mails that you send to this site contain personally identifiable information. (For example, they contain your e-mail address.) Any information that you may provide to HNE via e-mail will be used by HNE solely to follow-up on questions that you ask us or to address issues that you mention in your e-mail.
